Patrick Tillman was an American🇺🇲 professional football🏈 player in the NFL who left his sports career (and potentially millions of dollars) and enlisted in the U.S. Army in June 2002 in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks. After participating in the initial invasion of Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom, in September 2003, he entered Ranger School at Fort Benning Georgia, and graduated on November 28, 2003.Tillman was subsequently redeployed to Afghanistan, and based at FOB Selerno. On April 22, 2004, Cpl Tillan was killed while engaging in a firefight in Afghanistan.

AMERICAN HERO

U.S. Army Maj. Brent Taylor was killed on November 3,2018 in an apparent insider attack in Afghanistan 😥. Maj. Taylor, a Utah National Guard soldier who was also the mayor of North Ogden, Utah, was beloved by his family and community. Maj. Taylor was a military intelligence officer ♥️with Utah's Joint Force Headquarters. He was serving with the Special Operations Joint Task Force in Afghanistan at the time of his death. He left behind a wife and seven children 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧👨‍👨‍👧‍👦😥

1st Lt. Trevarius R. Bowman,25 🇺🇲 died on May 19,2020 at Bagram Air Force Base, Afghanistan, in a non combat related incident🦅. Lt. Bowman, a South Carolina National Guard soldier🎖️, was loved by his community and local JROTC unit. Lt. Bowman was also the IT Operations Specialist for The University of South Carolina and was also employed by the U.S. Postal Service. Those that know him describe him as a loving soul, who was a master at logistics. He loved his family and loved serving his country 🦅🇺🇲
